Wally has announced the recent launch of the 30.48 metres sailing yacht Galateia in England. Featuring naval architecture by Reichel Pugh Yacht Design, she is the third unit of wallycento design, and features all the innovative concepts of the box-ruled superyacht: a fully equipped family cruiser matching the speed of the latest maxi racer.
Sporting a while hull, Galateia features a super flush deck with a spacious social cockpit amidships seating up to 10 people and a wide sun lounge aft, with the twin helm and navigation stations in between. Her interiors are both luxurious and comfortable from bow to stern. She accommodates up to six guests over two en suite double cabins in addition to the large owner’s’ suite located forward.
The forward end is dedicated to the Wally submarine anchor locker and the large sail locker with accommodation for two crew, while the aft area serves as tender garage and incorporates part of the systems. She is equipped with the bow thruster, enhancing the cruising capability of this class of superyachts.

Galateia is currently undergoing seatrials. Upon completion, she will head to the Caribbean for the winter season where the owner and his family will be cruising as well as participating in a handful of regattas. She will return to the Mediterranean in spring 2016 to join the Wally Class regatta.
