Magenta Yachts: New Balearic-based charter company pairs wine expertise with idyllic, customer-centric trips

More personalised charter vacation options is the promise from new Mallorca yacht charter broker Magenta Yachts. The company are offering bespoke wine tastings as their clients tour the Balearics in fully-skippered luxury.

Charter manager Gaby Lehenbauer and husband Captain Lehenbauer want to deliver an even more customer-centric approach to yacht charter.  Both are savvy business people whose knowledge of the region and passion for yachting is unsurpassable.

Magenta’s fleet has over 30 sailboats, catamarans and motor vessels spanning 11-62 metres, is this number is expanding every day. Sailing charters start with a 32-metre GLISS sailing yacht, available at €1,887 for the day, while large parties can rent a 62-metre ATOS sailing yacht, with five cabins and hosting 20 guests, for €7,000 a day. An 18-metre PRIVILEGE catamaran, hosting 12 people, can be chartered from €2,000 per day. Motor yachts start from just €1,050 a day for a 13-metre FAIRLINE TARGA hosting 11 day-guests and jump up to €9,500 for a 33.5m MANGUSTA OPEN with three cabins.

Specialising in day charters, their yachts are also available to rent from a one-day trip to a three-week vacation, aiming to meet every clients’ needs. The Mallorca-based charter company also provides pickups from hotels or villas in the majority of destinations, going the extra mile to ensure its guests have a luxurious trip. All yachts are skippered, meaning clients don’t have to worry about a thing. A broad range of water toys are also available to add on to any trip, so clients can enjoy adrenaline-fuelled fun wherever they decide to go.

As a wine connoisseur and keen collector, Garvin wanted to bring his passion for grapes into the yachting business, seamlessly combining two luxury hobbies. As such, Magenta Yachts now offers a wine tasting as part of its charter trips, taking guests on a journey through the exquisite Spanish wines produced in different regions. The grapes tasted are informed by Lehenbauer’s expertise, the customer’s choice of charter destination – Magenta Yachts offers holidays around Mallorca, Ibiza and Menorca – and the customer’s wine preferences. This experience is all part of Magenta Yachts’ commitment to helping guests have the best possible vacation, whatever that may mean to them.

Mik Garvin, Magenta Yachts Owner, said: We’re delighted to be able to share our in-depth knowledge of the Balearics with our luxury charter clients. We aim to offer original and memorable experiences such as sunset cruises with tastings of Balearic wines accompanied by cold cuts and local cheeses. A rosé such Mallorca’s Ribas Rosat – Bodegas Ribas, for example, is a delightful alternative to Provence wines and where better to taste it than on board a yacht near the island itself?

Gaby Lehenbauer, Charter Manager, said: “There are so many stunning places to explore in the Balearics. We want our luxury yacht clients to be able to marvel at the wilderness of Ibiza, the unspoilt island of Cabrera, the wild coast off Cap Rocat and a multitude of other gems. All this can be combined with the discovery of cool beach clubs and authentic local cuisine.”
