Invitation: La Bella Verde Previews Their New Solar Powered Catamaran At Salon Nautico 2018

Ibiza’s first zero-emission boating experience introduces ‘Ukulele’ – a new fullyelectric solar catamaran – launching this November.

La Bella Verde, Ibiza’s first and only solar-powered catamaran experience introduces an all-new eco-boat, allowing companies and individuals from around the world to own and sail their very own custom built, carbon-neutral boats.

Fitted out with the latest solar technology, La Bella Verde’s Ukulele is fully electric, enabling charter and tourism operators to minimise their carbon footprint whilst continuing to provide a unique and unrivalled experience.

A Clean, Green & Silent Experience La Bella Verde has built a loyal following for their eco trips throughout the Balearics, powered solely by sails and 2x 4.0kW engines they’re highlighted as one of the ultimate eco experiences in Ibiza. Boats depart daily throughout the summer until mid-October to visit destinations around South East Ibiza and Formentera. Smaller vessels offer intimate journeys for couples and small groups of up to five, while larger boats are perfectly suited for groups of between 8 and 11.

A Green Boating Movement

Founded with a vision to transform the boating industry and create a movement to protect aquatic life while supporting marine preservation, La Bella Verde plans to evolve internationally and inspire others to adopt a more sustainable approach. The launch of their boat building service is a key opportunity for the team to demonstrate how nature’s potential can be harnessed.

La Bella Verde Foundation

Embodying the spirit that local actions can have global impacts, the team have also focused their efforts on protecting biodiversity in and around Ibiza. Funded by donations from charters and boat sales, the La Bella Verde Foundation is designed to protect the biodiversity at Ses Salines Natural Park. Current initiatives include protecting the Posidonia, a rare seagrass native to the Mediterranean Sea in Ibiza. The foundation will also work to support local businesses to transition towards becoming plastic-free and further minimising their environmental impact.

The La Bella Verde Foundation will establish itself at each new location, continuing to preserve and protect our oceans at an international level.
