Bering Yachts launches ‘Veda’

Bering Yachts in the US has announced the launch of Bering 80 Veda. The 25m yachts is the fourth vessel in the Expedition Class series and currently the flagship of the Bering fleet.

Veda is the heaviest in her class, displacing over 470,000 pounds (213.18 tonnes) and has a fuel capacity of over 10,000 gallons. She is powered by twin Cummins QSM-11, 350hp engines, has a range of 6,000 nautical miles at a speed of 9 knots and can reach a maximum speed of 12 knots.

The yacht features a beam of 7.8m (25.8ft) and has been designed to accommodate eight guests in four staterooms, all with en-suite heads.

Deniza Avamil, marketing manager at Bering Yachts, told Superyacht Business that the next launch will be hull #3 of Bering 65 in December.

In addition, the yard plans on starting the construction of several other yachts this year, including a new Bering 65 and one Bering 70. The company has also plans to build projects over 100ft.

Headquartered in Raleigh, North Carolina, Bering Yachts designs and manufactures steel expedition yachts ranging from 15m-35m (50ft to 115ft).
