The German yacht-builder sold more than 160 yachts at this year’s Düsseldorf show
Germany’s Bavaria Yachts has hit a new sales record with more than 160 yachts sold at the Düsseldorf Boat Show last month.
From January 21-29, Bavaria presented its complete range of catamarans, sailing yachts and motor vessels on the Bavaria World stand at boot Düsseldorf, placing more than 160 orders for new yachts during the nine-day show. The company says it outperformed its own sales record of 133 units sold at boot Düsseldorf 2016.
Half of those sold were sailing yachts and the rest were motoryachts, says Bavaria. As in the previous year, the number of catamarans sold also increased further.
The Bavaria World stand in Hall 17 was the largest single-site exhibition stand at the show and once again underlined the leadership position of Bavaria Yachts in a very competitive market. Europe’s second largest shipyard presented a total of 24 catamarans, sailing yachts and motor vessels on an area of over 4000sq m of exhibition space in Halls 15 and 17.
The four premieres at the start of the show were also very successful. The new flagship Bavaria C57 from the sailing yacht fleet celebrated its world premiere, as did the Bavaria R40 Coupe motoryacht. The Bavaria E40 Fly motoryacht and catamaran were presented for the first time at a German show.
Visitors were also to see the first design studies of the new Bavaria R55, which will be presented to the public this autumn.
Bavaria says it is now looking forward to the upcoming shows in Istanbul, Miami, Fredericia and Tulln.
