AWARDS Finalists of 2019 Best of Boats Awards announced in Cannes

The 18-member jury named 22 finalists in user-focused categories

Yesterday evening, at the end of the first day of the Cannes Yachting Festival, the finalists of this year’s Best of Boats (BOB) Awards were announced at the Palais des Festivals.

During the watersports season, the 18 jurors of the Best of Boats Awards from Europe and the USA tested more than 150 current boat models in numerous extensive test drives in order to put as many interesting novelties as possible through their paces. The selection for the Best of Boats Award is regarded in the boating industry and by the future boat owners as a seal of quality for superior quality.

The red carpet will be rolled out for a total of 22 finalists this year. They were able to assert themselves against the competition and were voted into the final in five categories. The Best of Boats Award shows the whole range of motorboating and is based on the point of view of the boat users. This is reflected in the practical and target group-specific categories – from beginner boats to boats for sport and recreational fishermen and travel boats to boats for active water sports and sailing pleasure and the king category of family boats.

The nominations for the shortlist of the Best of Boats Awards 2019 resulted from the jury’s boat tests.
